Training about all aspects of school and academy governance is available - delivered centrally for Local Authorities, or as whole Governing Body training sessions held in schools.
Whole Governing Body sessions are always geared to specific needs and requests. Training can also be provided for smaller governor groups or for two or more governing bodies wishing to hold a joint training session.
In addition to the standard training courses bespoke courses to meet specific training needs are devices upon request.
All training sessions use a mix of presentation, structured activites and discussion. Most sessions also include a session pack and PowerPoint slides.
Training follow-up is provided by telephone or email and includes sending templates and/or other useful documents identified in the sessions.
Individual mentoring for governing body chairs can also be arranged.
